Welcome to my new blog. This blog is a platform for discussions on all aspects of Christian music,
including all its main musical genres: gospel, praise and worship, contemporary Christian music as well as Christian rock. Contributions from like-minded bloggers with a interest/hobby/passion in this area are welcome. So lets get talking and share thoughts - that's what distinguishes us from the apes lol.

When it come to music, I used to be one of those people whose brain was wired up in such a way that it tended to focus on the melodic aspect of songs rather that the lyrics (i.e the words behind the song). For me, from my teenage years, I derived more pleasure from the musical construction of songs rather than their words. Let me know what you think.

Now I know there are millions of you whose musical appreciation works differently, preferring to focus more on the lyrics of songs, rather than the melody behind them.

In my own spiritual development with God I found the more I grew in the Lord, the more I got enjoyment in the words behind the songs and today I am glad to to say I derive more please from the words behind popular Christian songs than I do from their melody, which I guess ought to be the case. Now I appreciate the kind of worship songs Benny Hinn, Darlene Zschech and
Matt Redman singing.
